Our stay at Sand Tusker Unit #15 was GREAT (mostly all positive, except just 3 weak points noted at the end of this review). This unit was very clean, nicely furnished and decorated. It's located only 3-5 min walk straight down Driftwood Road. We loved that this place is a smoke-free unit. The kitchen had enough wares and utensils that suited our light cooking; the refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dish washer appeared fairly new and worked well (not sure about the oven since we didn't use it). The pull-out sofa and the 2 chairs were comfortable and did not have any mal-odor that you find in other rental properties. Nice Pergo-like wooden floors throughout; it was easy to sweep the floors with the provided broom and dustpan. Showers are beautiful with glass doors and panels, has nicely tiled décor, and most importantly, ample water pressure and volume! The tub in the Master Bath is luxurious. Some reviews commented about the A/C being inconsistent, but it worked well during our stay, but we did notice that the 2 bedrooms (2nd and 3rd floors) facing the front of the villa were a bit warmer than the rest of the unit due to these rooms facing the sun most of the day. The patios on these 2 rooms are a nice plus, but we didn't use it (it's narrow and small). Closets are spacious and has plenty of hangers and iron. There are 2 sets of long staircases, which were not a problem for us but just be aware. It has 2 sets of washing machine and dryer (1 on the main floor, and the other on 3rd floor) with enough laundry baskets. Keyless entry of the front door with number pad lock was great for everyone. The 4 beach chairs in the garage are of high-quality and nice with storage pocket and beverage holder; far better than ours that we brought from our last trip to Hilton Head Island. Now, the 3 weaknesses that the owners could improve to make this unit even greater: 1) The exterior keypad on the garage door only functions to close the garage, but not to open. Although it was not specified that there would be a remote opener, it's already installed with a keypad, so enabling the use with the same 4-digit entry code as the front door would be so much more convenient than having to go around through the front door to the garage and open it. 2) An A/C contractor (Murphy A/C Service) came to our unit one day to replace some electrical component on the outside A/C unit, although we did not request service or find anything wrong with the A/C. The technician said he only needed to work outside, but said he needed to gain access by entering through our unit, which he did, but he left from the outside (not through our unit) when he finished. This appeared to be a scheduled visit, but we were not informed by the management company to expect a visit until the A/C contractor came to the front door. So, why not inform us, and why not just have the contractor go around the villa to the backyard without having to trouble us? 3) Each adjacent units (#14 and #16) had a 6-ft water hose attached to the spigot next to the garage door; Sand Tusker Unit #15 could use one, too. It's nice to wash off remaining sand in our feet and not trek it into the interior of the unit. Overall, I would definitely go back and stay at this unit and recommend it to my friends!

The home was beautiful! Great location with plenty of space for everyone! My group spent most of our time out of the home and just used it to sleep and shower.

Great place for a big family getaway. Clean and beautiful decor throughout the house. The beach was awesome - clear waters and no seaweed.
